Your Way
We know that everyone is different. Your Way is a programme that offers flexible mental health support to suit service users’ needs. With Your Way, we work with people as individuals and support them to live the life they want.
What makes Your Way different?
With Your Way, we put service users at the centre of the service they receive and give them as much choice and control as they like. They can call us, text us, email us, request support using one of the local service websites, or ask their doctor or mental health team to refer them. We pledge to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
We’ll go to service users, too. Support from Your Way isn’t confined to a building or ‘centre’ – people can meet their worker or peer supporter in the local cafe, in the community or at their home – anywhere that’s convenient and appropriate.
If you are looking for support and you decide Your Way is for you, then you’ll have your first meeting within two weeks of getting in touch, if not sooner. We can accept personal budgets or support you to get a personal budget if you need it.
Lived experience leads the way
Talking to someone who knows what you mean makes a big difference. Our Wandsworth, Reading, Warwickshire services train and employ peer supporters who all have their own experiences of mental ill health.
Your Way service users can also use their own experiences to help others by volunteering as a peer supporter, or take up another volunteer role within the service. All our volunteer placements are structured so service users can get the most out of it, including the chance for training, development and help to move on to other paid or unpaid work.
