Bradbury Oak House is run by Action for Blind People and has been designed for visually impaired people who wish to live independently, with a choice of support available if needed. Every aspect of the building has been designed to meet the many and varied needs of visually impaired people, utilising existing good practice and incorporating design suggestions from the people who use the house. Flats in Bradbury Oak House include adaptations suitable for visually impaired tenants including:

• Sliding cupboard doors.
• Waist high power points.
• Contemporary and attractive colour contrasts.
• Card entry system into the building.
• Security cameras at the main entrances.


Visually impaired people who wish to live independently.
