Nafsiyat Inter-Cultural Therapy Centre

Nafsiyat Inter-Cultural Therapy Centre

Nafsiyat has been a registered charity since 1983 that offers high quality community based intercultural psychotherapy in London. We are staffed with experienced workers who are fully qualified in Psychotherapy and Counselling people from diverse backgrounds.

Combined with our successful track record in clinical work, we are accredited as both a training body and a membership organisation of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Hence, we offer training and development of intercultural therapy working with a number of prestigious universities, colleges and training agencies in London.

Short-term therapeutic help is offered free for people who are residents in Islington, Enfield, Camden and Haringey. We are continually looking at ways in which we can expand our work to all those who can benefit from it in London and beyond this involves securing grants from trusts and mainstream healthcare sources.

Therapeutic help is offered to individuals, families, children and adolescents experiencing psychiatric problems, emotional strain and sexual problems.
Written referrals are requested from professionals involved or from people seeking help, by either writing a letter, emailing or faxing (see contact details ). It would be helpful to include in referrals, clients name, address, date of birth, telephone number, nationality, language spoken and client preferences (e.g. male or female therapists). Nafsiyat does not provide a drop-in-service, access is by appointment only. Visitors without an appointment cannot be seen. Clients can also complete and submit an online referral form.
