CAP – Christians Against Poverty

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is uniquely placed to help low income, financially and socially disadvantaged people out of debt.

They are passionate about lifting people out of debt and poverty and they offer the following services:

  • Money Courses – a revolutionary money management course that teaches people budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that really works.
  • Debt Centres – free help to anyone in debt.
  • Job Clubs – a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other jobseekers, get support and gain the skills you need to find work.
  • Release Groups – helping you to break free from life-controlling habits, through an eight-week course, community, and one-to-one sessions.

CAP at City Hope Church in Bermondsey offer debt advice, the CAP money course and a new eight-week course on budgeting skills. They also run a Community Cafe on Wednesday afternoons, 1pm-3pm.
