About the service

Snowdon is a residential service in Woking. It supports up to 8 individuals aged 18-65 who experience mental distress who can stay from six months up to a maximum of approximately two years.

Snowdon is a detached, Edwardian property arranged over four floors. Each resident has their own bedroom and access to shared communal living spaces such as the bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. The property also has a large garden with a patio.

The staff team includes a Service Manager, two Senior Support Workers, and three Support Workers.

The team places each individual at the centre of their support and works alongside them to create support plans that reflect each individuals own identified goals. An assigned key worker meets regularly with each resident to review their plans.

The team aims to support individuals to develop their knowledge and insights and increase skills that promote a greater level of independence, with a particular focus on progressing towards living independently in the community.

The property is a short walk from Woking town centre. Woking is a busy commuter-belt town with good facilities including a shopping centre, markets, a cinema and other leisure facilities. Woking Park Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool Complex are also approximately a 5 minute walk from Snowdon.
