Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

Together for Mental Wellbeing (Together) recognises its responsibility to prevent modern slavery in all its forms and we are dedicated to operating ethically and with integrity in all our activities. We are committed to improving our practices to combat modern slavery and human trafficking and to ensuring that our supply chains are free from such practices.

Our Structure and Operations

Together is a UK-based charity working alongside people on their journey towards better mental wellbeing and independent lives. We operate within the UK and partner with various stakeholders, including government agencies, suppliers, and local communities, to deliver our services.

Together is governed by a Board of Trustees who oversee the running of our organisation at a strategic level. They delegate responsibility for modern slavery to the Executive Leadership Team who reviews our approach to following all aspects of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and reports quarterly to the Board.

Commitments

Together has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking and is fully committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings. To address the risk of modern slavery in our operations we implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure that all forms of modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in Together or our supply chains and subcontractors.

Supply Chain Overview

Together works with a variety of suppliers and subcontractors, including those that provide goods, services, and support in the delivery of our work. We recognise that our supply chain may extend into areas or sectors where there is a higher risk of modern slavery, particularly in the procurement of products such as food, technology, and outsourced services.

To address the risk of modern slavery in our supply chains and subcontractors we ensure that, where applicable, they are compliant with the annual reporting within section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act. Our procurement procedures require our supply chain to follow relevant sections of safeguarding, health and safety, and employment legislation. Should any of our suppliers or subcontractors not meet these standards we will review or end our relationship with them.

Recruitment

Together has a rigorous recruitment process in line with Safer Recruitment practices, including ‘right to work’ checks for all prospective employers. This ensures we are assured that those entering our employment are entitled to work and prevents the occurrence of forced or involuntary labour.

Reporting Concerns

Together encourages all employees, volunteers, and suppliers to report any concerns related to modern slavery. Reports can be made anonymously through our whistleblowing policy, and we are committed to investigating all allegations promptly and fairly.

Continued Commitment

Together is committed to constant vigilance to find and address any issues associated with modern slavery and human trafficking. We regularly assess our procedures and the effectiveness of our actions.

We are committed to continuous improvement in addressing the exploitation and abuse caused as a result of modern slavery and human trafficking.
