SLaM Mental Health Learning Disabilities Placement Monitoring
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) is the main provider of mental health care in Southwark.
The Mental Health in Learning Disabilities Placement Monitoring service provides specialist clinical input to service users with complex/ forensic mental health and learning disabilities needs, who have been placed in Out of Area Placements. The aim is to assist purchasing authorities and providers to move service users through their care pathways and ultimately into community placements. Providers are also monitored for the quality and effectiveness of their service. This service is provided by the Mental Health Learning Disabilities Placement Coordinator.
