SLaM Child and Adolescent Carelink Service (Southwark)

Carelink is Southwark’s dedicated Child and Adolescent Mental Health team (CAMHS) who offer assessment and treatment to children and young people in the care of Southwark Social Care and their foster carers.
Carelink is a multi-disciplinary team with practitioners from a variety of professional backgrounds, including psychotherapy, art and drama therapy, family therapy, social work, psychology, and psychiatry. The team provides:

  • A therapeutic service to children and young people who are in care
  • Services to adopted children, to assist with the transition from foster care as well as ongoing interventions where appropriate
  • Support and advice to foster carers and foster carer training
  • Consultation/advice to the professional network on care planning, therapeutic needs, placements, and transitions
