Health & Wellbeing

Copleston Centre

The Creative Therapies Project is a community based project offering services that have a positive impact on people’s wellbeing. The project provides a variety of services available to Southwark residents, and those close to the borough, with mental health concerns.

Community Housing & Therapy (CHT)

Community Housing and Therapy (CHT) is a registered charity that runs therapeutic communities which help people who are experiencing severe mental ill health gain a foothold in the world by positioning themselves in relationship to the other and to language, and finding stabilisation in relation to the community rather than to their symptoms.

Maytree Respite Centre

The Maytree Suicide Respite Centre is the only place of its kind in the UK and fills a gap in services, between the medical support of the NHS and the helplines and drop-in centres of the voluntary sector.

SupportLine

We offer confidential emotional support to children, young adults and adults by telephone, email and post.

Turning Point

We are a social enterprise, providing specialist and integrated services which focus on improving lives and communities across mental health, learning disability, substance misuse, primary care, the criminal justice system and employment.

InSpire Cafe

Boasting by far the most impressive surroundings of any café in the area, The Café Crypt provides high quality food at affordable prices in an environment that will make you want to come back time and time again.

Spires

Spires is a South London based charity that helps hundreds of homeless and disadvantaged people all year round. We work to improve the quality of life of people who are homeless, insecurely housed, unemployed or suffering from the effects of poverty, mental ill health and loneliness.

Al-Anon Family Groups

Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking, regardless of whether that person is still drinking or not. Al-Anon Family Groups hold regular meetings where members share their own experience of living with alcoholism.

Antidote

Antidote is the UK’s only LGB&T run and targeted drug and alcohol support service. Set up over 10 years ago, we work with both drug and alcohol users and healthcare professionals. We’re here to give non-judgemental free advice and support delivered by highly trained staff and volunteers – all of whom identify as LGB or T, and who have a good understanding of the pressures and problems that come with recreational drug or alcohol use.

Adfam

Adfam is the only national umbrella organisation working specifically with and for families affected by drugs and alcohol. As well as providing support materials and training specifically for families and professionals we inform policy development and campaign both locally and nationally for improved family support services.
