BBO – Women at the Centre
BBO (Building Better Opportunities) Women at the Centre is an individualised employability programme for hard-to-reach women. Set up to assist women from 16-65+ from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, the programme will take the participants through a structured journey of individualised, culturally sensitive and multi-lingual support. BBO expect to work with most women for a two-year cycle. At the same time, the project will engage with employers in the following sectors: Retail, Catering and Health and Social Care.
The programme is free and provides access to ESOL classes, leading to qualifications in Health and Social Care, Retail and Catering, and hospitality. A mobile crèche can be provided free of charge, along with support from our professional projects’ Employment Advisors.
The project is funded by Big Lottery and European Social Fund (ESF) and will be delivered by the Hopscotch Asian Women’s Centre in partnership with Refugee Women’s Association (RWA).
