Southwark Wellbeing Hub

Finding the right support can seem complicated and overwhelming. Our job is to make the process simpler. We’re here to take the stress out of finding, choosing and receiving support in Southwark.

Please note that the Southwark Wellbeing Hub is CLOSED on Weekends and Bank Holidays. From Wednesday 27 December – Friday 5 January (inclusive) there will be NO in person Drop In hours at the Hub. The Helpline 020 3751 9684 will be open from 9am -5pm on weekdays. We encourage callers to leave a voicemail if their call is not answered so that staff working remotely can return their call within 1 business day. Alternatively, service users can email southwarkhub@together-uk.org with any questions or concerns.

About the Hub

Southwark Wellbeing Hub takes the stress out of finding, choosing and receiving support.

When you’re worried about your mental wellbeing, it can be hard to know where to start. Sometimes it can feel like there are too many options to choose from or you can’t find the service that is right for you. It can be difficult to know exactly what kind of support you might need, where to find it, and how to go about accessing it.

We provide information and support to anyone in Southwark who would like to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The Hub’s services are free and open to anyone who lives in Southwark or is registered with a Southwark GP.

We work in partnership with Southwark Council’s Adult Social Care Mental Health Team. We provide an easy point of access for any person who has care and support needs because of their experience of mental distress and any person who cares for someone experiencing mental distress.

Southwark Wellbeing Hub Directory

The Southwark Wellbeing Hub directory lists services that are based in and/or serve the borough of Southwark. It is a tool to help you find the support that best fits your needs.

What we offer

Signposting Support

We can help you find your way around local services and opportunities and understand how to get the most from them. We can give you information about what organisations, services and activities are available locally, as well as information and tools to help you manage your own wellbeing.

1:1 Support

We offer a programme of practical and emotional support during which we will work with you to identify your goals and how we can help you achieve them. This might involve connecting you to local services that provide specialist support. Your support worker can meet you in the community at a place to suit you, or you can speak on the phone.

Peer Support

Peer Supporters use their own experiences of mental distress to support others towards better wellbeing, either one-to-one or as part of a group. All Peer Supporters at the Southwark Wellbeing Hub are volunteers and receive comprehensive training prior to providing support, in addition to support and supervision from the Hub’s Peer Support Coordinator.

Workshops

These are group sessions which can help people develop skills and tools to improve their wellbeing. These workshops might involve taking part in practical activities, learning about different experiences of mental distress and coping strategies, or getting involved in a support group.

Volunteer Support

Our volunteer team offer practical support to help you to achieve your wellbeing goals and get the most out of your local area. Find out more about volunteering with the Hub here.
