At the Southwark Wellbeing Hub, we run a selection of events including Wellbeing Workshops. They are a safe space to engage in activities, learn new skills and connect with your community and are listed below.

Connect for Wellbeing

Here we focus on fostering meaningful connections and social support networks among participants, providing a safe space for sharing experiences and coping strategies for mental health and emotional well-being.

Strength and Conditioning

Participants engage in tailored workouts aimed at improving physical strength, endurance, and overall fitness levels, with a focus on form and technique. Suitable basic fitness levels and above, this workshop promotes a holistic approach to health and wellness.

Black Space

For African and Caribbean residents, this space provides a supportive and empowering environment for individuals to explore and celebrate their cultural identity. The focus is on shared experiences, engaging in discussions surrounding mental health, self-care, resilience and community.

Gardening

In a beautiful farm setting, this workshop offers hands-on experience in gardening, fostering a connection with nature and promoting physical activity. Participants learn about plant care, cultivation techniques, and sustainable gardening practices while enjoying the therapeutic benefits of outdoor activities.

Creative Writing

Through clever, guided exercises participants explore their creativity and express themselves using various forms of writing- including poetry, prose, and storytelling. This hybrid workshop encourages self-reflection, personal growth, and the development of writing skills in a supportive community.

Yoga

Yoga sessions are unique at the Wellbeing Hub, with focus on promoting mindfulness first. Our facilitator has an authentic take on the traditional practice which she began cultivating as a child. Benefits include physical, mental, and emotional well-being through mindful movement, breath-work, and relaxation techniques. Suitable for all levels.
