The Food Chain

The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives.

They deliver meals and groceries, offer cookery and nutrition classes and communal eating opportunities to people living with HIV in London and their dependents. They have their own kitchen space at Acorn House, King’s Cross.

Every service user is referred by a health or social care professional who has identified them in need of nutritional support. Each service user receives a Personalised Nutrition Care Plan designed specifically to meet their needs. By offering a tailored package of support, at the appropriate time, The Food Chain helps people to lead healthy, independent lives.

To refer someone for nutritional support from The Food Chain, your organisation will first need to apply to be an approved referral organisation.  Referral organisations can be from the health or social care sectors, or be other HIV support organisations.

If your organisation would like to be approved to refer people living with HIV in London, email referrals@foodchain.org.uk.
