Naz Sexual Health

NAZ offers a range of services for people to manage and maintain better sexual health. Their services include:

• Support for people living with HIV, including casework and support groups.
• HIV testing.
• HIV prevention programmes.
• LGBT support.
• Counselling and psychotherapy for people experiencing difficulties with their sexuality, relationships and sexual health.

NAZ specialise in working with people from BAME (black and ethnic minority) communities. They run several specific services to meet the needs of different cultural groups. They are able to provide their services in many different languages, including Farsi, Portuguese, Spanish, Urdu and Yoruba.

NAZ also offer a one-to-one mentoring service. The NAZ Rise Mentoring Service is part of the network of services being offered by the Rise Partnership. The Mentoring Service is for Black African and Caribbean young people and msm from BAME communities, including Latin American and Asian communities. The aim is to reduce sexual health inequalities through behaviour change activities based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. The focus is to help the client to identify their goals, whether this is on sexual health or other issues, and for the mentor to support their client to take practical steps to reach these targets of change.
