Housing for Women is a charity and housing provider with a mission to empower women and challenge inequality. They support women across London through affordable housing, help women and children escaping domestic abuse, survivors of trafficking, women leaving prison and older women.
Their services include:
Domestic Abuse Services
Housing for Women provides support for women and children escaping abuse, helping them to overcome trauma, rebuild their lives and regain their independence. They run refuges in Ealing and Greenwich providing safe temporary accommodation with on-site support, support services in the community and a Referral, Information and Advice line. ReUnite
ReUnite works with mothers leaving prison who would otherwise be homeless and lose custody of their children on release from prison. ReUnite offers supported accommodation and a programme of tailored support to reunite women released from prison with their children and break the cycle of re-offending. RePlace
The only project in the UK, RePlace, supports women who have been trafficked into the UK for exploitation. Support Workers provide practical and emotional support to survivors of trafficking empowering them to overcome trauma, rebuild their lives and regain their independence. ReConnect
ReConnect offers supported accommodation for women with complex needs on release from prison. Liaising with the Probation Service and prisons, their work starts prior to release helping women access support from local substance misuse services, community mental health services, GPs and counselling. Housing
Housing for Women in a social landlord providing social rent homes to women and their families across London. Housing applicants must be in housing need and referred to Housing for Women by their local council.
