The Afghanistan and Central Asian Association works with Afghans and Central Asians living away from their homeland, providing the support, skills and knowledge to live and prosper in the UK.

Our services include English language classes, employment workshops, a women’s support group, a Saturday school and homework club, youth and family support services, drop-in and telephone advice, volunteer placements, and cultural and social events. The organisation also visits individuals and families in detention.

Education is key to everything we work towards at the ACAA. Our English classes and training support integration, engagement and employment in the UK; our cultural events and our tuition in Farsi/Dari and Pashto help to preserve our Afghan heritage.

The ACAA currently runs five free ESOL classes each week in the boroughs of Hounslow, Lewisham, Ealing, Mitcham and Croydon. The classes are aimed at all levels and are open to everyone although the class in Ealing is a women’s only class.

Women’s Project

As well as the services and support we provide to all those in the Afghan community, we have events, projects and mentorships set up especially for women. These offer a place for Afghan women to share their experiences in a warm and positive environment.

Advice clinic

You can come to us for free and professional support and guidance on housing, employment, immigration, welfare and referrals to legal representation. We also offer mentors for longer term one-to-one support.
