Services offered:
Wavelly House offers a supportive home for up to 6 people aged between 18 and 65.
Residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible, and to work towards moving on to their own accommodation. The service provides a holistic support package tailored to the goals and needs of service users. Staff work with people on their recovery- planning for when they may move on, which is reviewed on a regular basis.
The house is a modern, purpose-built building with a large dining and recreation area and a comfortable lounge with TV, video and stereo. It also has kitchens, bathrooms and a good-sized bedroom for each resident. In addition there is a large patio and garden.
The house is situated in a pleasant cul de sac in South Ham, a residential area about a mile from the main shopping area of Basingstoke. It is a short walk to catch buses into Basingstoke, from where services go to Winchester, Reading and other towns in the area.
Wavelly House has good contacts with local employment and training schemes, and there are also various clubs in the area that residents can access easily, as well as the chance to attend evening classes at the local school.
