Services offered:
Snowdon is a residential, recovery based service in Woking. It supports up to eight individuals who have a primary diagnosis of a mental health condition and placements range from six months up to a maximum of approximately two years.
Snowdon is a detached, Edwardian property arranged over four floors. Each resident has their own bedroom and access to shared communal living spaces such as the bathroom, kitchen and laundry room. The property also has a large garden with a patio.
The staff team includes a Project Manager, one Senior Residential Recovery Worker and four Residential Recovery Workers.
The team places each individual at the centre of their support and works with them to create support and recovery plans that reflect each individuals own goals. An assigned key worker meets regularly with each resident to review their plans.
The team aims to support individuals to increase skills that promote a greater level of independence, with a particular focus on progressing towards living independently in the community. It is important that service users referred to Snowdon have a desire to effect positive change in their lives.
The property is a short walk from Woking town centre. Woking is a busy commuter-belt town with good facilities including a shopping centre, markets, a cinema and other leisure facilities. Woking Park Leisure Centre and Swimming Pool Complex are also approximately a 5 minute walk from Snowdon.
