For the first time, the whole of government has today committed to promote whole-population mental wellbeing, and to make life better for people with mental health problems. The Future Vision Coalition, of which Together is a part, welcomes this move.

As reported by Mary O’Hara in the Society Guardian, Dr Dan Fisher MD, PhD, has flown over from the States to be the keynote speaker at Together’s first ever national conference, which is being held at the Royal College of Physicians today.

Together organised an event which looked at the issue of race equality in mental health. Melba Wilson OBE, the national head of Delivering Race Equality in Mental Health (DRE), a five-year government-funded action plan to overhaul services for BME users was the key speaker.
