We are looking to recruit a motivated team player to work alongside the individuals we support through various aspects of their recovery. At Hopewell House, a 24 hour, supported living service in Guildford, we aim to motivate, support and enable people with a primary mental health diagnosis to achieve greater levels of independence, social inclusion and self-management over their own mental wellbeing. Working with people with complex needs, you will utilise elements of personalisation to improve engagement and promote positive outcomes. This will involve producing risk assessments and recovery focussed support plans, supporting those who use the service with recovery-focused activities, including one-to-one key-working sessions, booking/attending appointments, bidding for housing, completing official forms and daily living skills. Our activities are based on the interests of those that use the service and can be based within the project or community.
As a residential Recovery Worker, you will work as part of a diverse team to run the service, providing guidance and support to people who have complex and sometimes challenging support needs. Your duties will include:
A full and comprehensive training package will be available to you. You will also have opportunities to develop specific skills as well as expand your knowledge and working practices within the mental health field.
Previous experience in a mental health setting would be advantageous, however relevant educational and transferable experience/skills are also considered. As part of a 2 week rolling rota, you will be required to work 7.5hr shifts with some early starts and evening finishes, alternate weekends and sleep in duties: a sleep-in allowance is applicable.
