Salary:

£32,320.00 + £3,630 Geographical Allowance per annum

Hours:

37.5 per week - 12 month FTC

Location:

National Office, SE11 6DN

The Role

Together is an amazing place to work. And it’s not just because we’re one of the UK’s oldest and most respected mental health charities. It’s because we put the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do – supporting and enabling them to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to the community.

We’re looking to recruit a mental health professional eager to support staff, volunteers and service users by upskilling their mental health support skills and knowledge. You will be the primary trainer for Together’s Mental Health Support Skills and Knowledge training and will work closely with the Learning and Development Manager to ensure those connected to Together receive the highest quality training interventions.

You will be a subject matter expert, with an appropriate mental health qualification who keeps apace with current thinking and has experience of successfully supporting people who experience mental distress. You will wholeheartedly believe that people we support should lead the way, not only in their own support, but also in decisions relating to the training our staff and volunteers receive.

You will be an enthusiastic trainer, who understands the impact carefully considered, developed and delivered training has on attendees. You understand that training interventions must be evidence-based and informed by the collective perspective of service users.

The job will require travel to various locations within England, though you will be based at our National Office near Lambeth North when not consulting with services or delivering training.

We have a firm commitment to encouraging fairness and diversity in our work force and we welcome applications from disabled people and those from BAME backgrounds.
