Together is an amazing place to work. And it’s not just because we’re one of the UK’s oldest and most respected mental health charities. It’s because we put the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do – supporting and enabling them to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to the community.
Following a review of our governance, we are looking to recruit a Board Secretary to support the management of the Board of Trustees and sub-committees and to strengthen our governance and maintain an oversight of decision making across the charity.
This is a new post, and would suit someone who can bring their considerable experience to the job to develop the function fully and embed it into the charity and governance structures
You should have previous experience of working as Board Secretary, and knowledge of legislation and regulations on governance relating to Charities/Not for Profit organisations and the ability to work autonomously and with your own initiative. Working closely with the Chair of Trustees and the CEO and the EA to the CEO, you will provide high level reliable advice and support to the charity on all matters relating to governance.
We have a firm commitment to encouraging fairness and diversity in our work force and we welcome applications from disabled people and those from BAME backgrounds.
