The service links with other agencies to develop a network of services for people who misuse drugs and alcohol and for people who have experienced mental distress.

A Personal Development Advisor works with clients to help them:

  • develop a personal action plan
  • get involved in leisure and social activities
  • access basic and further education
  • carry out job searches and organise work placements
  • find employment.

Each person agrees an Action Plan with the Advisor setting out their individual goals. The Advisor will support them to get involved in a range of leisure and social activities, develop the skills necessary to prepare for work and forge new contacts in the community.
