Together Support Workers offer assistance at our supported housing schemes

Together was the first charity to provide housing in the community for people with mental health problems over 100 years ago. Today we run supported independent flats and shared houses where people live independently, backed up by regular visits from our professional Support Workers.

1.About Together's supported-housing services

Our services offer some people a ‘stepping stone’ towards fully independent living, while regular support helps others to maintain their independence in the community.

Our Support Workers offer practical and emotional support with anything from going to the shops to paying bills; doing housework to getting out and about and meeting new people. They offer people help in their own homes for a few hours each week.

We also run high-support residential services for those who need extra support because they have complex needs (substance-misuse issues as well as mental health problems, for example) or have been in contact with the criminal-justice system, and care-homes where people with mental health problems live with 24-hour support from staff.

2.What is a supported-housing project?

Discover what a supported-housing project is, who can use one, and what kind of support they offer.

3.Find a Together supported-housing service

If you, a relative, friend or client, would like to apply for a place in one of our residential services, please talk to the service concerned.
