If your employer has a payroll giving scheme, it’s easy to nominate Together as your chosen charity, and make a regular donation tax-free. Regular donations help us plan more effectively and carry out our vital mental health care.
Payroll giving is also known as Give As You Earn (GAYE).
Thousands of employers are part of HMRC’s payroll giving scheme. If your employer has signed up, you can fill in a simple form, return it to your payroll department, and your chosen donation will be deducted from your salary, before tax. This means if you choose to give £10, only £8 will be deducted from your salary, and HMRC will make up the rest – so Together still gets £10. If you pay higher rate tax, the tax relief is higher.
You can ask them to join the HMRC scheme, or give to Together in another way, for example, by phone, standing order, cheque or online.
Yes.
Your contributions will automatically stop as soon as you receive your final pay. If your new employer has a payroll giving scheme, you can start your donations again by filling in their form.
