Fundraising events can be a great way to raise vital money for charity while also meeting new people and having fun!
Upcoming events include our Walk for Wellbeing on 11 October. Walk around London’s bridges and raise funds for mental health charity work while taking in the sights. If you own a camera, bring it along and take part in our photo competition. The best pictures taken on the walk will be published to our website.

Or, why not start your own fundraising event. Together’s supporters are always coming up with new fundraising ideas to allow us to keep working alongside people with mental health issues on their journey to wellbeing. Ever wanted to trek the Himalayas for a good cause, or get in shape running for charity? Ask your family and friends to sponsor you in any type of event you like.
Have a look below at some of the events people have held in the past, or go to our A to Z of fundraising ideas for inspiration [link].
Stephen raised over £1,000 with his high-altitude trek. “I have always loved the mountains, having been brought up in the Lake District, and harboured a long-term desire to visit Nepal one day and take on the challenge of a trek in the high Himalaya. Last October, I finally realised my dream by joining an organised trek to the Annapurna Sanctuary, climbing up to 4,000 metres above sea level (more than 13,000 feet!).
I wanted to motivate myself by raising some money for a worthy cause. Having had first-hand experience of the patient and dedicated support of local mental health care teams when a close relative became ill, I know just how important the work of a charity such as Together can be in supporting those who find themselves in need of help and encouragement. I hope my donation will, in a small way, help to make a real difference to the lives of those who rely on the support services Together offers.”
In March 2009, Together and Survivors’ Poetry co-hosted an evening of readings by leading poets concerned with wellbeing, mental health and happiness. The event was part of Wellbeing Week 2009, and took place at Foyles Bookshop in London. Thanks to all who took part and made the evening such a success!
This 13.1-mile run in October 2008 saw our brave supporters slogging through the autumn sunshine to raise money for Together – a huge thank you for all of their hard work and training! Our dedicated runners raised almost £1,500. Unfortunately, we don’t have charity places in the run this year, but we would be delighted if you have your own place and want to raise money for Together. Just get in touch [link]!
This annual run is always a big event in Central London. Together supporters have raised thousands of pounds over the years. A big ‘thank you’ to all of them!
