Asha are a South Asian organisation that works to end violence against women and girls. They offer confidential advice and information, and secure, temporary accommodation for South Asian women and children fleeing violence.
Buttle UK aims to meet the needs of families and young people in crisis. As the largest grant awarding charity in the UK that focuses solely on children and young people in need, Buttle UK hear about children and young people in circumstances that most people are unaware of. Buttle UK support children and families who are not having their needs met through statutory or other traditional routes of support.
For over 20 years, we’ve been helping to make women and children safer. With services across London, we work to stop domestic violence and to reduce the harm it causes to women, children and families. We offer a range of services for adults and children, from locations in south, west and east London.
Galop is London’s LGBT anti-violence & abuse charity. They give advice and support to people who have experienced biphobia, homophobia, transphobia, sexual violence or domestic abuse. They also support lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer people who have had problems with the police or have questions about the criminal justice system. They also run the National LBGT Domestic Violence Helpline.
Housing for Women provide housing services for vulnerable women across London. They run domestic violence services, general social housing, housing for female ex-offenders and services for women who have been trafficked for sexual exploitation or domestic servitude.
The MOZAIC project provides an accessible woman-centred advocacy service to women who have experienced or are still experiencing domestic violence. They offer free, confidential and independent support, safety planning, advice and information. The project is run by 170 Community Project and is based at St. Thomas’ Hospital.
Rights of Women are a women’s charity working in a number of ways to help women through the law. Rights of Women can advise on: claiming asylum; the rights of Europeans and their families in the UK; trafficking; immigration law including domestic violence, long residence and family life; financial support options including for women with no recourse to public funds. Their immigration and asylum law advice line is open to individual women with insecure immigration status who have experienced violence and the professionals who support them.
Southwark Advocacy and Support Service (SASS) delivered by Solace Women’s Aid in partnership with Southwark Council provides confidential advice, advocacy and support to women and men aged 16 years and over who live in Southwark.
Woman's Trust offer free therapeutic services, including workshops and support groups, for women affected by domestic violence.
