Thomas Calton Centre- Peckham
The Thomas Calton Centre is Southwark Council's adult and family learning and skills service. They offer a wide variety of classes, both day and evening, including classes that develop practical skills like woodwork, lampshade making, fitness and dance, fashion and pottery as well as employability and confidence building classes, CV writing, help with English speaking and writing, basic maths and literacy skills. Gain a City and Guilds, OCR, or other qualifications in customer services, childcare, food safety in catering and more.
Thrive
Thrive uses gardening to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable. This therapy is known as social and therapeutic horticulture - the process of working with plants to improve physical and psychological health, and communication and thinking skills. It is also uses the garden as a safe and secure environment in which to develop an individual’s ability to socialise, make friends, and gain practical skills that make them more independent and self-reliant.
Time and Talents
Founded in 1887, today Time & Talents runs targeted projects working with people with high levels of need such as isolated elderly people and disabled groups, and universal wider activities and events designed to create a strong, resilient, happy, and supportive community. A core part of their work is providing ways for people to connect and share their time and talents, including a wide range of volunteering opportunities, skills-sharing, and opportunities to socialise and connect neighbours to reduce isolation.
UK Men’s Shed Association
A Men's Shed is a larger version of the typical man’s shed in the garden – a place where he feels at home and pursues practical interests with a high degree of autonomy. A Men's Shed offers this to a group of such men where members share the tools and resources they need to work on projects of their own choosing at their own pace and in a safe, friendly and inclusive venue.
United St Saviours Charity
United St Saviour’s is a charity that supports the people and communities of north Southwark.
Upper Norwood Library Hub
The Upper Norwood Library Hub is a contemporary community learning and cultural hub. It brings people of different ages, cultures, interests and backgrounds together in a welcoming, safe, inclusive and friendly learning environment. The Library Hub provides access to activities, events, learning materials and programmes, literature, information, and education to residents in Crystal Palace and surrounding areas that informs, entertains, inspires and empowers the community.
Urban Growth
Urban Growth Learning Gardens is a social enterprise that improves the well-being of Londoners through providing Education, Employment and Environmental Transformation. They support vulnerable groups into sustainable, rewarding employment by transforming neglected urban spaces into thriving community oases. Urban Growth offer training, employment and work experience to those in need of support.
Assists the council in managing local parks, providing volunteers, gardening, habitat creation, fundraising, seasonal events, etc.
We provide an enriched and stimulating learning environment for children with high quality toddler group sessions to help support children’s learning and development. We provide courses and volunteering opportunities to parents of the local community. This is to help support and contribute to the local community’s Social and Economic stability.
Walworth Garden Farm
Walworth Garden Farm is a local Charity providing environmental education, training in horticulture, garden maintenance services, workshops and courses including beekeeping. There are a range of courses and activities open to all. Environmental Education courses are available for local schools, wildlife clubs and youth groups. A Horticultural Therapy group runs for people with learning disabilities, basic skills and mental health issues.
Waterfront Leisure Centre
The Waterfront Leisure Centre is a fantastic all round sport and leisure facility located in South East London. It boasts a 100 plus station gym with the latest cardiovascular and resistance machines. The new strength gym is now open and has the latest Hammer Strength equipment and is the perfect place for an all round work out.

Wheels for Wellbeing is a South London charity helping people to enjoy cycling regardless of disability, health condition or age.
Youth Futures
Youth Futures is a youth-led organisation founded by Joseph Duncan and a team of young leaders, youth workers and supporters in January 2012. As other youth centres in the area closed due to a lack of funding, Youth Futures emerged in response to the needs of the young people to have a safe and supportive space to go. We have established a large network of people who are keen to make a difference through their work with young people and the wider community.
Zen Yoga
Zen Yoga is a place for you to come and reconnect with yourself, with life, with that which is around you.

We offer yoga and meditation classes that are based on developing awareness of body and mind. Scientific research is providing ample evidence of the value of this awareness in improving your health and quality of life.
