KeyRing’s support is based on people living in their own homes but sharing their skills and talents with each other and with their communities. KeyRing provides support to people with Learning Disabilities to gain skills using their Personal Budget to enable more independence. It offers support on a 1-1 or group basis, and can assist people with Learning Disabilities make their first move towards independent living.
Assistance ranges from: Social Skills – Building Confidence, Making Friends, Sharing Skills, Travelling, Assertiveness, Keeping Safe & Being Heard; to help with Practical Skills – Money Management, Shopping, Cooking, Menu Planning and Employment Skills.
The increased circle of friends and community connections afforded by KeyRing often allows carers to have a more adult relationship with their son or daughter. There are several layers of support available to KeyRing Members and we have an excellent track record of supporting people to manage risks effectively.
