Centrepoint provides a safe place to live for more than 2,900 young people, aged 16-25, every year in London and the north east of England.

Providing a warm safe room that young people can learn to treat as a home
Supporting young people with counseling, advice and direction to help them overcome abuse or traumas
Training young people so they have the opportunity to find work or education
Teaching homeless young people basic life skills they’ll need in order to achieve independence

Young people who come to Centrepoint face a range of different problems. For example, a third of young people at Centrepoint have a mental health problem. Over a quarter of young people at Centrepoint are also known to use or suspected of using illegal drugs, and 13% have a physical health problem.

These problems often overlap, making it more difficult for young people to access help and increasing the chances of them becoming homeless.
