Dulwich Library

The library was opened on 24 November 1897 after the site was donated by Dulwich College. The library opened with a stock of 10,152 books.

Children: weekly and monthly activities

  • Chatterbooks – second Monday of every month, 4pm to 5pm (ages 7 to 11)
  • Baby rhyme time sessions – every Wednesday 10am to 10.30am and 11am to 11.30am (ages 0 to 5)
  • Baby and toddler sessions – every Thursday, 10.30am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 3pm (term time only)
  • manga, anime and comic book club, first Thursday of every month, 5.30pm to 6.30pm (ages 10 to 16)
  • board games – every Thursday 4pm to 5pm and Saturday 2.30pm to 4pm (ages 5 to 14)
  • stories and crafts – every Saturday, 10.30 to 12noon (ages 5 and over)
  • Colour Me Happy – every Saturday, 12.30pm to 2pm (ages 4 and over)

Adults: weekly and monthly activities

  • Film Club – every Monday, 1.30pm
  • Monthly Talk
  • Poetry group
  • Craft Club –

  • creative writing
  • reading group
  • free computer classes and learning in libraries

 


Anyone can join the library - you don't even have to live in Southwark.
