Depression Alliance

Depression Alliance merged with Mind in August 2016. For almost 40 years, Depression Alliance has been bringing people together to end the loneliness and isolation that can come with depression. Mind will continue to deliver services formerly provided by Depression Alliance, including Friends in Need and the Depression Alliance self-help groups.

Southwark Self-Help Group

These groups are open to anyone affected by depression and they provide a safe and welcoming space for sharing friendship, support and ideas in living with depression. Most groups are facilitated by volunteers with personal experience of depression and you’re welcome to contact Southwark Mind directly to find out more about their group.

Time: 6.30- 8pm every Wednesday
Requirements: To attend, you must be over the age of 18 and either live, work study or access a medical service in Southwark
Where: Cambridge House, 1 Addington Square, SE5 0HF

Friends in Need Community

Friends in Need is a free and supportive community for everyone affected by depression, so you don’t have to go through it alone. You can find new friends in your local area and online, so you’ll always have a safe and friendly space when you need it most. You can also join Friends in Need online and connect with thousands of other people with experience of depression at:
