Cocoon Family Support

Cocoon Family Support

Cocoon Family support is a London-based charity who support those affected by ante- and postnatal depression, and those struggling to deal with difficult emotions before and after birth. Founded by mums with lived experience of postnatal depression, they provide a safe and supportive environment where families can get together with others who may be feeling similar to themselves. They provide a range of services to aid and support recovery.

Cocoon Family support offer a range of services, including:

  • Guided peer support groups (including weekly drop in services at Coin St, SE1 and in Camden).
  • Counselling
  • Community support
  • Information and signposting
  • Workshops

They support families (not just mums) affected by postnatal depression. They are also able to help people who have pre-existing mental health conditions and are worried about the impact having a baby will have on their mental health. You do not need to have a mental health diagnosis to access their services.
