| The people we work with are of all ages from 18 upwards, both sexes and many different ethnic origins. Many of them have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health needs such as schizophrenia or severe depression, but we don’t focus on diagnoses: we just see individuals with their own stories to tell, experiences to share, and contributions to make.
At Together we believe in working with people not for them; supporting them to find better ways to manage their mental health and move forward in all areas of their lives. We aim to:
- support each individual in the way that he or she finds most helpful, taking into account their particular needs, life experience and goals for the future
- offer a flexible service so that the support we offer continues to be helpful when people’s circumstances change.
Participation of service-users Those who use our services are represented through our unique Service-user Involvement Directorate and Service-user Steering Group.
Shared experiences Some of the people who use our services have told us their stories: how they live with, learn to manage, and successfully overcome their mental health issues. Read their compelling and inspiring stories…
Discovering more about what people want from us We are always keen to get feedback from the people who use our services and we have carried out research to try to find new and better ways to help them evaluate the service they receive. Find out more about the SURE research project…
