Together, UK Mental Health Charity working alongside each person with mental health issues on their journey towards greater wellbeing. Trusted experts in service user involvement

Our services

Mental distress is a huge and increasing issue. Experts state that 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem during their lives and it affects around 8 million people in the UK at any one time. A UK government report of 2009 states that over £80 billion a year is spent on mental health .

Together focuses on those in greatest need, who may have complex and recurring mental health problems and difficult life circumstances. It's estimated there are about 375,000 people in this category.

We provide a range of services to meet the different needs of around 4000 adults a month:

  • Day service support for over 1,000 people a month, including drop in services, social and befriending networks.
  • One to one support for people living in the community, helping them to live independent lives and linking them into local community, volunteering, training and employment initiatives.
  • Advocacy services in local communities, but also in specialist and secure hospitals.
  • Work with the courts and probation services to make sure people with mental health problems are appropriately supported, reducing the harmful impact of being locked up and breaking the cycle of re-offending.
  • Accommodation: finding people places to live, helping them keep their homes and offering 24 hour residential support with the aim of encouraging increased independence. We have some beds for people in crisis.
