About the service
Verneuil Avenue Project
In the 24/7 project we support seven tenants to lead fulfilling and enriched lives accessing voluntary work or learning other skills to increase independence. Currently this service provides high support in a communal setting but we are awaiting a purpose built project that we are hoping to occupy at the end of April 2012. The new build will provide eight Tenants accommodation in self contained flats being built by Orbit housing. The new build is much closer to Stowmarket Town Centre and all of its amenities.
Verneuil Avenue Flats
This development of six self-contained flats owned by Sanctuary Housing provides accommodation with support from a Senior Community Support Worker. Tenants in the 24/7 project are able to apply to live in the flats when wanting to move on to more independent housing. In addition to regular tenants’ meetings, tenants can join the 24/7 project in regular planned events and activities.
Local shops are about 10 minutes’ walk away. Stowmarket town centre is about a mile away and has good shopping facilities. Ipswich, Norwich, Bury St. Edmunds and other local towns and cities, including London, are easily reached by bus or train.
There are good local facilities, including local sports clubs, cinemas and day centres.
Community Support Service
This service provides floating support to individuals living in their own accommodation with identified goals such as social support, graded exposure to certain environments or support to access community services and is agreed at assessment.
