About the service
Church Hill is a semi-supported, shared accommodation scheme for people with long-term mental health needs living independently in the community.
The scheme is a Supporting People service.
The building is within easy distance of Aldershot town centre, and close to a leisure centre and recreation ground.
Residents must be aged over 18, and have long-term mental health needs.
Number of residents
Average length of stay
Church Hill is a home to residents for as long as they wish, or for as long as the house is able to accept them. Residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible, and to work towards moving on to their own accommodation.
Staff and facilities
A team of Support Workers is available to offer support. Staff input is minimal, and tenants are encouraged to live as independently as possible.
Activities and support on offer
Staff provide practical support with activities including:
- daily living skills
- managing personal finances
- daytime activities and employment
- individual rights
- mental and physical health issues.
Workers support residents to fulfil the objectives on their Care Plans. The level of support can be adjusted as people’s needs change.
The property is a house with five single bedrooms. Residents share a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bathrooms and garden.
Catering and laundry
Residents do their own shopping, cooking and washing, and clean the shared areas together.
