Kings House is owned and managed by Together and provides a supportive home for people with a variety of needs.

The building is a three-storey, detached red-brick house dating back to the 1940s, surrounded by a garden and a patios. There is a secluded garden to the rear of the house with a summer house and patio.  The main house has 15 bedrooms (some shared), some of the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom.

Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible and supported with cleaning their bedroom and doing their own laundry. Midday meals are prepared by our cook, residents are encouraged to help with the preparation if they wish to. Residents and staff prepare the evening meal together. All residents are involved in the menu planning and suggestions are discussed at residents' house meetings along with other day-to-day matters.

There are the following members of staff in the Kings House team:-
Project Manager
Deputy Project Manager
2 Senior Social Care Workers
3 Social Care Workers (full time)
1 Social Care Worker (part time)
Cook (part time)
Cleaner (part time)

For some residents Kings House may be a long-term home, for others staff support them with re-learning skills to enable them to live to optimum independence or to move-on to more independent living.  For residents who are ready to move on there are some 'flatlets' available locally along with different types of supported housing schemes, or the option of private or council tenancies.

Kings House is in a quiet residential area with less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and a mile from the local shops.  Bournemouth and Poole are easily accessible by bus with the bus stop being a few minutes walk from the house.
