The Role

Together is an amazing place to work. And it’s not just because we’re one of the UK’s oldest and most respected mental health charities. It’s because we put the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do – supporting and enabling them to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to the community.

The Volunteer & Training Coordinator plays a key role within a new and innovative mental wellbeing service based in Southwark. The service provides a wide range of information, advice and support with the aim of aiding people’s recovery and staying well.

The role of the Volunteer & Training Coordinator will include the ongoing recruitment, training and supervision of Volunteers. Alongside this the Volunteer & Training Coordinator will also source, provide and facilitate a programme of workshops and activities to aid the understanding of issues relating to mental health difficulties and developing skills to improve personal wellbeing.

To do this effectively, the Volunteer & Training Coordinator will be an expert navigator of local communities, able to continually build and sustain relationships and partnerships with agencies, professionals and employers who may use or contribute to the project.

We have a firm commitment to encouraging fairness and diversity in our work force and we welcome applications from disabled people and those from BME backgrounds.
