 The Role

Together is an amazing place to work. And it’s not just because we’re one of the UK’s oldest and most respected mental health charities. It’s because we put the people who use our services at the heart of everything we do – supporting and enabling them to take control of their lives and make a positive contribution to the community.

Together has developed a new model to support the recovery of people experiencing severe mental health problems and significant risk or safety issues. It provides high quality care to individuals moving from high-level support and secure settings, and aims to prevent hospital admissions.

Swindon Clinical and Recovery-focused Accommodation Service is a 24-hour CQC-registered accommodation service for adults who experience severe mental distress. Residents have multiple and complex needs and are entering the service from high-level support and secure settings or as an alternative to hospital admission.

We are now seeking Bank Mental Health Recovery Workers to work within a fully integrated team. Recovery Workers will work with the Project Manager and Mental Health Practitioners to ensure the provision of a high quality, blended recovery and clinical service. Central to the Recovery Worker role will be the ability to work alongside people with complex needs and to work within a psychologically and trauma informed environment in order to improve engagement and promote reliable, timely and positive outcomes to support them on their journey towards independent and fulfilling lives. Together for Mental Wellbeing is looking for enthusiasm, interest and an open approach to learning for these posts.

Because we provide 24 hour care shift work is required which is comprised of ‘early’, ‘late’ and ‘waking nights’, weekends and sleep-in duties for which a sleep-in allowance is paid.

In return we offer a friendly and dynamic working environment, competitive pay and a great range of benefits. Please download our benefits booklet here for more information.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT APPLICATIONS ADDRESS THE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA SET OUT WITHIN THE PERSON SPECIFICATION UNDER THE SECTION OF SUPPORTING STATEMENT
