You will contribute to the Board of Trustees' role in providing strategic direction to the organisation, focusing in particular on developing and implementing financial, reserves and investment policies. You will scrutinise the organisation's performance in relation to finance, management and governance, and provide advice to the Corporate Management Team on a range of financial issues. You'll also sit on the Finance and Audit sub-committee.
With an interest in or knowledge of mental health issues you should have a strong understanding of financial reporting and the legal requirements of a charity. You should also have a good knowledge of investment, property and asset management. Holding an accountancy qualification would also be an advantage.
The commitment is one evening a month and you will be reimbursed for any expenses incurred.
