| Income from Charitable Trusts is enormously important to Together. It helps us to develop new initiatives and expand our current services so we can serve even more people with mental health needs and their carers.
Help us make a difference Mental illness is one of the most pervasive and yet one of the most stigmatised problems in today’s society. Together we can shape ground-breaking developments and transform the future of mental health.
Our projects are based throughout England: there is something to appeal to Trusts of all shapes and sizes. Your donation will make a big difference to the people we support.
Our funding needs include the following projects:
National projects
Service-User Involvement Directorate The Directorate places service-users at the heart of decision-making within the organisation, and empowers them to deal with the issues affecting their lives. The Directorate aims to achieve this through:
- linking service-user groups at local, regional and ultimately national level
- developing training and skills for employment, volunteering, further education and financial literacy
- building service-users’ self-confidence and negotiation skills so they can influence the commissioning of mental health services
- developing Together’s infrastructure to meet the needs service-users.
Supporting Carers Better This project aims to support and promote those who care for people with mental health needs. It does this through:
- networking
- conferences and seminars
- newsletters and a website www.scbnetwork.org
- developing a nationally accredited training curriculum.
